Received my cook shack 150 last night. 2 concerns if anyone can help. The dial to turn temp setting has slight difficulty passing the 215 degrees but with effort it goes beyond. Is this normal? The burner unit is off center by about an inch and a half. Will this affect the cooking? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.

Those are minor questions, but the best thing to do, if you have questions since you just received it is call CS and talk to them direct.

Customer Service doesn't monitor the forum and since you just posted, they'll be open shortly and can give you the quickest answer.

Hi bbqsmoke,

I am going to guess that you have a model 50. The burner being off center a bit will not hurt anything. The burners tend to bend a bit when the elements are fired the first few times. The thermostat being hard to turn could be a couple of things, I would recommend calling Tony in customer service and talking to him about it.
