Don't know if I'm missing something, but just unpacked my new 008, plugged it in, turned it on to season it, and nothing happened. Tried another outlet, and the same result. Is there a trick to it, or do I have a dud?

If you've tried everything to no avail the best thing to do is call cookshack, they should beable to help..
No question, call Cookshack for superlative customer service.
Perhaps before you do one thought. Check the outlet with another appliance, if its a GFI outlet maybe its been tripped. I am sure you have done this but you never know.

Thanks - I spoke with CS yesterday, and it's the heating element. They are sending me a replacement.
