Definition of cooking temperature

I am smoking the "Smoky Sweet Beef Kebabs" from the "Still Smokin'" Cookshack cookbook. All the recipes we have done in the past have given a specific temperature to use, usually 225. This recipe said "preheat to medium temp." What is considered "medium temp"? We are guessing that it is 180.

You can't go wrong with 225 degres.

Welcome to the forum Socaldick! Never done the kabobs. I feel safe in saying that most folks never pre-hear their smoker. Kabobs sounds like something to do on a grill. I am assuming you are using a CS 088-09 or 50-55. More info woud be helpful.

A suggestion: Toss the book aside and use this forum as your guide. Use the search utiity at the top of this page. Here's a search on Kabobs. Maybe something there will help.

This is a wonderful forum! Plenty of good folk ready to help and assist. Read and re-read the Lessons for New Users. Lots of great info there.
