hi everyone been a while anyway fast question it took 3 gallons to cover the turkey follow the basic brine. do i triple the tender quick or just add enough for a gal?

Not sure which brine you're using. The purpose of the TQ is to prevent spoilage, a little, if it gets into the danger zone. Most brines don't have TQ in them anymore.
The key is if you kept it below 40, you'll be fine.
Now, did you build a 3 gallon brine, or just a one gallon and add two gallons of water. If so, 2 gallons of water is probably diluting it too much.
Hard to tell.

Like Smokin' says"if kept properly chilled,it doesn't require TQ"
I don't use it in turkey brines,because it can give more of a hammy feel and look.
