I had trouble with corrosion holes in foil pans, especially when washed in the dishwasher. So I wanted to avoid aluminum.

Found a Tramontina stainless "bread basket" at WalMart for a couple bucks - it's sort of like a giant pie pan. Holds at least a couple quarts. Another good choice might be a stainless pet dish.
I too had a problem with the disposable drip pan. So I bought a regular cake pan and welded some rails on to the bottom to hold it in place. Because of the clearance problem, I attached rubbler furniture leg pads to the bottom of the existing pads just to raise it about 1/4 to 3/8 inch. Seems to work fine like this. You really need some rails in place otherwise the pan will blow around in the wind. Smiler
