The sausage that I have made and smoked comes out dry like meatloaf. I was using natural casings. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry ,my meatloaf is not dry.
Perhaps some here can help with sausage but "dry like meatloaf"i don't follow.
Whoever cooks your meatloaf should be fired!!!!

Let me rephrase, My meatloaf is not dry either. Sometimes trying to describe things can be dificult. It does not hold together like the sausages I am used to it crumbles. When I take a bite of it it falls apart.

What type of sausage are you making?
What's your lean meat to fat ratio?
Lots of variables involved with sausage making.
