Anyone ever try cooking Butts at a higher temp on the FE, say around 300 degrees? I was wondering if ther could be cooked faster, like briskets are done sometimes...Thanks, John
We've played around with it some. The problem is that the FE(C) has to burn pellets so fast to maintain the temp, they don't get a chance to smolder. Obviosly this translate to even less smoke than we are used to getting at lower temps. So, your product has even less smoke flavor than the light smoke of which us pellet cookers have become acustom.
