Hi guys. just won a 2 year old FEC at an estate sale and am pumped to,use it. The meat probe is missing the piece that jacks into the IQ controller does anyone know if i can get a replacement from cookshack?

Yes you can get a probe. However only a few use it. Suggest you wait a while
You don't need the probe. Buy a Maverick ET-732!
Thanks for the input. It actually came with a brand new, unused probe, it just does not have the piece that actually plugs into the IQ unit it's the piece that looks like a headphone jack. I see the probeo on CS website but not the jack. I have a MAverick and others that i use with my Smokettes but thought the integrated probe would be nice to use since it was included.
I haven't looked at it in a while, but it's an all in one piece, so not sure how there can be two parts.
Is the extra probe included actually the temp probe for inside the smoker?

Call Cookshack and tell them you need the newer Smoker side of that plug. They upgraded it a few years ago.

The meat probe in your photo has the newer input jack. It plugs into the jack on the right side of your IQ board and should be marked as "meat probe". The old style input was a 1/4" phono jack.
If your FEC is an older model that requires the phone jack style meat probe, call Cookshack and perhaps they'll swap you out.
The meat probe is only needed for PROBE mode smoking and holding. Otherwise a digital themometer will do you just fine.
