FEC-100 Rainproof?

I don't have one but a number of people I know use the cover over it when it is raining. Tom and Rodney are two that come to mind right off hand.

In comps this year, I have four MAJOR rain storms. This one was hard winds (30+mph) and rain (several inches in a few hours)



Use the FE cover. It extends down far enough to protect. Had no problems, pellets stayed dry.

I never take my FEC cover off.

Then I'd have to store it.LOL

Mine cooks all night here at the beach,in the salt storms,and the rains.

time for peggy to get a better job so i can get that long rig you got smokinokie. course she would also need to get me a nice peterbilt conventional wuth a double sleeper to tow it with so i could take the hounds with me. really nice setup. i am in awe.

Hey Guys, just a thought. I have a fec about a year old and the fan intake is on the bottom of hopper. I have two of the newer ones with the pellet ramp. The fan is on the side of the hopper and if you put the cover on, I would think that it would not get any air thru the grill. I have mentioned this to Eddy and he said he would get that worked out. Sounds like a reason for someone to come up with a new plan.

I figure something that would keep the cover out and away from the fan would be enough. Shouldn't take much as the fan isn't moving too much air.
