I'd like to know what others are doing for indoor ventilation, ie - in your home, not garage. I gather from the other posts that if one uses flexible aluminum tubing direct from the unit to the outside, temp fluctuations are unavoidable.

Has anyone found an ideal solution?

Is an exhaust hood the best solution?

This topic doesn't seem to have a clear answer in the forums, hoping we can get a solution, I'm sure others would be interested too.

Due to leakage around the door, out the pellet hopper, out the drain holes at the bottom, a vent hood is a requirement for use in an enclosed area. If the area is open; ie. your porch, then you can vent the exhaust out and up and suffer some minor issues depending on the length of the tubing. You can also use a low CFM fan in the exhaust system to improve the fluctuations but care must be observed to prevent over exhausting the FEC and really affecting the performance.
