FEC exhaust

I guess you could cap it.

There are some folks that go to Home Depot,etc and get the elbow to keep rain and direct wind out.

We just turn ours,so the wind is not direct into it.

Cookshack service could advise you about a chimney approach,as they do it for trailers etc.

We vent ours out a flue. 1 90deg elbow and about 3 feet of duct with a cap on the end.

What size is the exhaust? I remember that some were diff sizes.

I have two FEC 100' and both are 5 inch. Just went to Home Depot and picked up the material. I come out and turn up 90 degrees and run about 3 feet and have a vent cap on them. They work fine and have no problems at all.

For me, I took the 5" vent cap and instead of attaching the whole thing, all I wanted was something to block the wind, so I popped the vent cap off the 5" and just attached the vent top to the smoker.

I'll have to take a picture at the next contest and show you what I mean.

Well I went to HD and lowes today. They looked at me like I was speaking greek. They have no 5" tubing or caps. They hat 4 and 6" so I will be looking else where.

No I am not going to Birmingham. I was suppose to be in Lebanon last weekend but ended up not going. My wifes mother passed away and we had to go to Pensacola and we decided not to do Birmingham. I have six in row starting in September. If you can't find the parts for your vent, let me know I will pick them up and send them to you.
