FEC Weather Conditions

This might be the worst question ever asked, but does the FEC 100 need to be covered in inclement weather? Most of the pictures I've seen show them in trailers or some sort of shed. I would be very interested in getting one, but I don't have a shed or a trailer to have it run in. I will store it in the garage when not in use. Can it be just covered when it rains or snows. Well last night it was 2 below zero. Any help would be great thanks members of the forum.

The cover for the fec is great. You can cook with the cover on to help protect the pellets and electronics from moisture. My fec stays outside. Has had the cover on, but hasn't been under any structure or roof until recently

My FEC is outdoors, under a small eave 24/7. The cover is designed to allow very easy access to the door by way of two zippers, which also allows access to the control panel and pellet hopper.

Have no fear about keeping the FEC outside but DO use the cover.

Thanks guys for your help. I wasn't sure if the cover was just to stop it from getting dusty when it wasn't in use. Thanks again for your help. Now if you could talk to my wife to get the FEC 100 approved for purchase.
