I have been reading through a ton of older posts and saw a reference to a KFC Copy Cat Coleslaw recipe that was posted in the Open Forum. I tried searching for it but nothing comes up. Anyone have a link to the recipe/post or any suggestions?

I thought I remembered reading that there was an "old" forum and is that where it might reside in in internet purgatory?

KFC Cole Slaw Clone

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 cups finely chopped cabbage (about 1 head)
1/4 cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
2 tablespoons minced onion

1. Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very fine pieces (about the size of rice).

2. Combine the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and beat until smooth.

3. Add the cabbage, carrots, and onion, and mix well.

4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serves 10 to 12.

Nope, it's in the "best of" forum and the link is broken. just ANOTHER problem when CS moved to the new way of doing the website. I'm not happy with this method Frowner

Good news it's on my hard drive, bad news it wasn't on there. That was the old forum. This forum has been here almost 10 years, so may just search on it a little more

Yep, That's the recipe. I find that store bought coleslaw (red and green cabbage) works just fine. One pound bags are about a buck or so. I pass on the carrots. To cut carbs, I use the bulk Splenda. Everyone loves it. I also usually make two or three times the recipe to have extra dressing if needed.
Not trying to highjack the thread, but I watched a Food Network show the otherday, and there is a place that serves smoked Coleslaw. They do it on a stove top. They slice the gabage and what ever else you use in the slaw, and place this on a bed of ice in a pan. Stick this pan in a stove top smoker and smoke it for 6 minutes. I know how I am going to do it in my smoker. I just haven't tried it yet. Can't wait.
