does anyone use fire bricks in their fec100 at home as a heat sink to smooth out temps cause of light loads ? i seen this done somewheres else and wanted to know from cookshack guys .
Same here I asked the question here before I purchased because i was not going to cook 100 pounds of anything anytime - I am just a big backyard BBQ fan want wanted the best BBQ food I could produce. FEC100 does it I have cooked 2 racks and I have cooked 16 racks FEC100 temps the same on both
I agree with EZ and Tech on this. Never felt the need to do this. My two FEC 100s run fine just as they are. No matter what size load I cook on them. Heck, I fire mine up occasionally just to cook one whole chicken.
