Attempting my first ribs in my SM020. I put them on about two hours ago and set it for 225 degrees. I checked on the smoker an hour after I turned it on and it was still only 170 degrees....Is there possbibly a problem with the smoker? Called a buddy and he suggested 250 degrees, so I bumped it up. Gonna run out and check them again in a few minutes. Been two hours now...

Possible that the back rack of ribs on the bottom shelf was contacting the oven temp probe. This will cause extended lo reading. Done it several times myself before I learned not too.
