Found beef baby back ribs on sale at Walmart yesterday for $1.18/lb and decided to give them a try.
Cut the slab or ribs in half, put them on my CS rib hooks, and attached them to the rack in our 008 at the highest position. Smoked @ 225 de for 4 hours, similar to pork baby back ribs. Ribs were done, but just short of "fall of the bone". Unlike pork, there was much more bone than meat. We were disappointed with the taste, texture and tenderness of the beef.
Our recommendation is to stay with pork ribs exclusively.

Please tell me that they were just beef ribs and not "beef baby back ribs"

I'm SOOOOOOO tired of the marketing people at the meat companies calling everything something that it isn't. Baby back ribs were a MARKETING term that Danish people created to sell their ribs.

You guys KNOW how many times we have trouble helping someone because they bought a Picnic Butt or a Shoulder Butt or a "insert name"
