Smoking my first turkey in an Amerique. Was thinking about placing a pan right under the turkey to catch the juices for easier cleanup. Any problems doing that? Thanks!

Not sure about easier clean up, you mean the racks. Cover the wood box and floor with foil.
But don't do it IN a pan, as it will block the airflow/smoke to the underneath of the bird.
