My wife thinks that big ol' grease stains on the deck somehow reduce the visual appeal of things. I don't know, but that's just the way she is.
I have an SMO 45, and I found that an aluminum oil tray from Walmart (the kind of tray you put in the garage under your drippy '73 Mustang) is a perfect size. I just roll the smoker onto it and fire up. Any drips from moving meat around get caught by the tray.
When I'm done cooking, the tray prevents the clean up mess from the smoker from ending up on the deck. After cleanup, I roll up a paper towel and pull it through the drain hole, so any leftovers don't drip out when it gets warm in the sun.
Roll the smoker back to it's resting place, wipe down the aluminum tray, and I'm all done. No muss, no fuss, and no dirty looks from the hostess while I'm passing out the ribs.
