Within a week after my new FEC 100 arrived a storm came through and a dropped a little smaller than baseball size Hail. I was not at home, I called my wife to see if she had moved the smoker under the roof of our deck and she hadn't. I was thinking the smoker probably had hail damage but when I got home I pulled the cover off and was amazed that there was no visible damage.
I'm not sure if it is because of how its built or the fact that I had the cover on it, but for all of us that own the cover we all know it's pretty strong. Either way I was amazed.
Not sure if anyone else has ever had this happen but I can tell you I (accidentally) tested it and was amazed. However, now I make sure it's under the roof when a storm comes in.

When I was growing up, we had snow and we might miss a week of school at a time. But in the last 5 years, we haven't had a snow of more than 2 inches. It is getting colder earlier, than it used to, and then the winter turns a little milder.

Would say global warming, but this summer was one of the mildest we've had in 25 years.

Bring on the snow.
