Hello,

Has anyone rigged up a good way to hang sausage links in an Amerique smoker? It seems there would be plenty of room for, say, 14 or 18 inch long links hung from the level of the top shelf without getting too close to the heat. but how? I've thought of trying to attach a couple of dowels to the shelf or bracket somehow. Anyone have a scheme that works well? Thanks!

That's a good idea, maybe using a couple of notch-cut 1 bys, but haven't figured how to attach them to the side rails, since I want to load up the dowels before putting them into the smoker, and I'd like not to have to worry about knocking the sides off. I guess I could just wire them in with some solid copper wire each time. Thanks again!
