Hi Guys
Sitting around this A.M. reading my regular Home Audio message board thinking I better get those Beef Ribs on the smoker soon. Hmmm, never smoked any beef ribs wonder if there are any good tricks.
Hmmm, wonder if there are any good BBQ message boards around?
To make a long story short. Here I am.
After doing a quick search I did find a few Beef Rib recipes but since I've already put some rub on em, its a little late to try the recipes I found.
So here is the question.
You guys have any good tips for smoking beef ribs in a H2O smoker?
When I do a brisket, I usually dont use any water in my smoker and have had great results. Should I use water for the ribs?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Seamus,

The only way I have been able to get a half way decent beef rib is to put a rub (any kind) on the ribs, place them in heavy duty aluminum wrap add some white wine or apple juice to the bottom, place in a pan and cook them in the oven at 350 f. until they get tender. If you want some smoke flavor, slow smoke at 190 degrees using 2 oz of wood and then wrap and cook in the oven - same as above. It is a hard piece of meat to get tender, for me.

The reason you can use any kind of rub is because you aint going to make any improvement of 'em regardless what you put on them - not my favorite meat to smoke. Razzer
