pskeff,
I'm at 7,400 feet and have not had any problems with my FEC-100.

Check out the Summit co Colorado bbq contests they are at 11,000 feet and several competitors had FEC-100 there.

I have slow cooked with a smokette and a CS-570 pellet cooker at this altitude with no problems other than some timeing adjustments, but as they say here... It's done when it's done!
MountainMan,
I'm located outside of Jefferson, Colorado in the heart of South Park. We're actually not that far from Summit. I thought times would be different, perhaps because of less efficient pellet burning. It's good to know that both you and the Summit folks don't have any problems. I'm going to do 1 or 2 dry runs to see how everything works. Again, thanks for the feedback.
You just bought the BEST pellet cooker on the planet!

I'm sure you'll be OK .... this forum is the best as well!!!

Use the find button and ask questions as you go forward there are A LOT of great cooks here that will share their knowledge.

Congratulations and good luck!

PS. The RMBBQ association dose a group pellet buy every spring, check um out.
