Hi, I am looking to send some of my vac sealed BBQ to some friends in Colorado from here in Las Vegas, NV. Can any of you give me some advice on how to do this? I realize I need dry ice, but what type of container do you use and where can they be purchased? Also, is this something UPS can do? Anything you can answer or add would be extremely helpful to a bunch of bbq-less guys in Colorado Big Grin Also, does the food need to be frozen or can if be refrigerated and overnighted?

Thanks in advance.

I've actually done this a couple of times.

For safety's sake, I froze the ribs I sent, and packed with dry ice. I used a cooler that someone had sent me "Omaha Steaks" in. I used Fedex two-day if memory serves.

As far as the packaging is concerned, Fedex might be able to supply you with a shippable cooler, and if that doesn't work, you might try a company called Uline. I'm not sure if they offer shipping coolers, but if they don't, it's probably the only shipping suppy they don't carry. I think their URL might just be www.uline.com.

As for the rock chalk, I guess we can hope for next year!
