OK, for 4 years now I've been looking at the Cookshack smokers telling my wife, "We should get one of those." Her reply has always been, "Next summer." Well, this year I didn't mention to her we should get one--instead, I ordered one. It's on its way to Vancouver, WA, and I went to the butcher last night and picked up a pork butt (8 lbs). Now this waiting is killing me. I want to smoke some meat!

I know, not much anyone here can do about that, but maybe you can be sympathetic to the pain I'm enduring waiting for the arrival of my smoker.

I feel your pain! I just got my model 50 in January. I previously had a cheap Charbroil water smoker which I did make some good Butts in but was hard to use for many reasons. My first cook in the 50 was a 9 lb choice packer brisket. I had never done one before due to fears of length of time and drying out in my other smoker. It turned out awesome! Now I can't stop doing brisket. Even made a big pot of Chili this week with some leftovers. Yum.

may 22nd last year ordered my sm and fec
they shipped to my trailer builder june 13th
trailer was due june 30th
but wait!!!!!
we had 3 hurricanes
trailer was delievered between number 3 and number 4 which was middle of september.
ah but we couldnt get generators until middle of october
so brother i feel what you are going thru!!!!!!
but oh my goodness the wait was worth it
