When our pork butts are ready to take out of our Cookshack smoker, I have always had the fear of dropping it as I transfered it to a tray. I have found a great way of avoiding that problem, and safely bring it in the house or cooler. I have found using a "Non stick square grilling wok" which measures 14.2L X 12.7W does the trick. You can find this wok in any home store or Walmart too.

Most of us keep neoprene gloves around the cooker.

Not heat resistant enough to handle fire hot cooking grates, but can work with several briskets/shoulders.

They are liquid/grease resistant,as well.

Fuel/insecticide handlers use them ,also.

Most box stores carry them, for around $6.

I picked up a trick,a few years back, from probably our teammate Ribdog?

The long handled,lightweight,pizza peel.

Light metal flat pan, with a wooden handle, maybe four feet long.

Cut it shorter to suit your needs.

Used to slide pizzas around in hot ovens.

Pizza peel

Hope these might be helpful to some folks.
