Installing New Controller

I have a FEC500
I put my new controller this past weekend, but I have a question about the new temp probe that it came with. The new probe doesn't look anything like the old probe. Can anyone tell me were the new probe mounts. I have tried using the old probe with the unit, but the temp said it was 56 degrees. And after 10 minutes with both fires going full blazes, the temp still said it was 56 degrees. Will the new controller not read the old temp probe???

Any input from the gurus on this board.

Since service rarely reads these forums,I'd give Tony a call in service and let him handle it.

Well, I called Tony today and he said the new controller had to have the new temp probe. And bingo it works just like it should.
