Jumpin' Jim was the top contest chicken cook around,a couple of years ago and he was kind enough to share his technique.

He has owned,built,bought and sold a multitude of cookers for contests and backyards.

Jim Minion is correct.

By the way Jim,I spent some time with Pig Pounda Kappa at the Pig Jig and they said hello to you.

You probably saw they were second to Jack's Old South in Hog[about everyone seems to be] and 2nd to L and L[The GC] in ribs.

Trust me I tried.

They were also having the birthday party and I hoped Gary would get inebriated and spill all their secrets.

The problem was that they know so much,it is hard to take it all in.

I ate an awful lot of their ribs,but that hog is pretty technical-if you are not real familiar with the cookers.

Thanks for the kind words but,Jim Minion is on another level in his own right and Gary and family are on a very small plateau with the top hog cooks.

Preston,there is a good chance you will see them there this week-along with Jack's Old South,Big Bee Que,and the Boggy Pond Brigade cooking on the MIM side.They all do fine hogs.
