this contest was well run and the sites were huge. didn't see any other pellet munchers but since we were really busy i didn't have much time to look around. the sites were level and water and power were provided and the power never went down!!!!!! the friday nite steak dinner was a great treat and the welcome frank gave was great. ice was constantly being offered and we were asked at least every hour if we needed anything.
all in all i would highly recommend this contest and we will be returning next year

pps. for those that like birds of prey there was an osprey nest in the ballfield lights and it was really something to watch the big male bringing in fish to the female who was setting on the eggs and the sunrise over the lake saturday morning was something to see

There was a FBA sanctioned contest in 2004 up in New Port Richey at the Harley dealership. But I have not seen it relisted for 2005 yet.

There was also a contest I think two years ago at the Harley dealership in Tampa on Dale Mabry.

But that is about it. Beyond that, the closest is Plant City in November and Lakeland in January.
