The word is just out that Key Largo,Fl is a definite go,after the hurricane.

This first time contest has the state championship proclamation and already enough teams to be a qualifier.

There might be a couple of spaces left,if you move quick.

This also is a great chance for our southern neighbors to visit a cookoff.

There will be at least a couple teams of pelletheads to show off the FEC s.

Our old friend drbbq will also be there cooking the contest with his FEC,signing copies of his hit book, and demoing the Big Green Egg, we were discussing last week.

This is the southernmost sanctioned cook ever in Fl,as far as I know.

As always,Friday is a good day to visit teams and look at equipment.

The cook-off is always an awesome event, said Jim Boilini, cook-off chairman. The time and talent given to preparation is nothing less than terrific. It is a fun event for everyone and really fun if you win because the competition is so keen.

Last year, more than 140 individuals and restaurants entered the cook-off.
