Actual Tom I can.

I have severe arthritis (recent diagnosis) and I use a similar knife when I have to trim out ribs. The curved tip helps me get leverage if I have to cut through the bone or something I need to cut through. I use the curved end and the back of my hand to press down.

Here's the version I have. And it's called a Butcher Scimitar.

Tom,

My wife and son are out of town for the weekend leaving me a lot more free time then usual for taking potshots at you. I'm sure things will normalize when they get back and you won't have to worry about the unwarranted attacks on your character (well, you may still have to worry, but there will be fewer).
Last time I tried writing about barbecue, Eddie Murphy called me a racist and we had to make the barbecue contest a gumbo cookoff. It was an episode of "The PJs" called "Natural Born Grillers." Eddie's response was, "So black people are natural born girllers, huh? I'm not gonna record this."

If anyone happens to catch this episode in the future you'll notice that all the gumbo is being cooked on charcoal grills. That's becuase the barbecue models were already being made when Eddie threw out the script.

Bill
Bill, I saw that episode. I really enjoyed that show. Did you write for it, then? If so, I want to tell you thanks for making my days a little happier!
I heard that Eddie Murphy went through a lot of heat because some people thought the show presented a racial stereotype.
I thought the characters could have been black or white, and it still would have been a good show. I always liked the way the wife called her husband Goody. I think that was sweet.
Peggy
Peggy,

I was the Co-Executive Producer on the show as well as one of the writers. I believe I wrote five of the episodes.

Lorretta Devine, who played Thurgood's wife, Muriel, brought a lot of heart to the show. The fact that she loved Thurgood softened his character and allowed us to keep him cranky.

I'm proud of the show (it got me my first Emmy nomination). I think it was very funny but never got a chance because the "suits" were ultimately afraid of the show.

Bill
