I just cooked up a brine, and let it sit for about an hour and a half to cool.

I walked into the kitchen, saw a pot with (what looked like) nothing but water in it, and poured the brine down the drain.

D@mnit.

Anyone else ever do this?

You're not alone.... I usually mix up a sugar/water mixture for the hummingbirds and I boil it and then let it cool. Twice in two days my wife came along and dumped the 'pan of water' out. Arrrgggg!
