Looking at a FEC100

Thinking of a 2004 FEC 100. Don't know much more about them then what I see on the website right now. Can someone please tell me what the value of a slightly used one might be with a treager temp controller on it? Would it be better to get the newer one? Any opinion is appreciated. This is a unique opportunity for me to potentially acquire this. Right now I use 2 large BGE's to do comp cooking and was thinking of an XL but this might be a better option.

Since CS sells smokers, they really don't get into discussions of prices for used ones on this site, since after all it would take away from their business of selling new Smokers.

If you have specific questions about the smoker itself, we'll be happy to help.

Don't worry about older vs. newer. I've got both old and new versions and they work great. Different, but great. I like the ability to dial in the exact temp with the new IQ. I also like the simple features of the traeger.

I agree with you Russ. I have both a pre-ramp model and an IQ4 model and love em both in their own way. But would not give either up also.

Buster,

I had the older controller on a 500, but my 100 has the new controller. I like the new controller better. But with either, I think the ease of use will amaze you, compared to the BGE.
