i am curious what the max temp is for cooking on the fec 100 , every time i turn up the temp to 325 the smoker goes dead? is this something i should be calling about or normal?

I'm not sure on the IQ, but I know it's not 325. Reset the high temp switch to make sure it hasn't been tripped (if it is, it probably wouldn't even work, but just checking).

Mine will get up to 435* I have a pre ramp model.
yeah it is the IQ model and yes i have to reset the high temp switch every time , trying to cook chicken and it is very frustrating to have this problem , and 435 on your unit freddie? i must have a problem in there somewhere. thanx for the input gents i will call cs on monday and ask for some trouble shooting help
Make sure you have the side rail hangers attached in the top holes. If your in the bottom hole, it will expose the high limit switch to the fire.
I just checked and i am in the bottom holes! i will move the rail up and give it a try. Thank you for the response eddy , again you guys never disapoint...
