Mdl 75 Question

I'm a fairly new used of a Mdl 75.
My question is Is the top or bottom racks the hottest when cooking? I am tryiny 2 turkeys a 14# & a 17#. Thought I would put the larger one in the hotter area with the probe in it.

We use a SM150. The lower racks seem hotter to me. The upper racks seem to turn out a better product, though. Stick a thermo into both turkeys, if your smaller one isn't coming up as fast, you can rotate.

Heat rises,if unobstructed,so your top rack can be overall surrounded by the most heat.

The bottom rack portion,directly over the firebox,can receive the most direct heat to the bottom of the meat.
