MIM and KCBS merger

I was at the KCBS judging class today and the instructor mentioned something about the Memphis Barbecue Network and the KCBS working together to do some contests. Has anybody else heard any of this talk?

I've heard the MIM wants to work with KCBS because they're more organized and wide spread. Haven't heard it mentioned as a merger, just working together.
