I've never heard of a Model 15H/S smoker. Was it manufactured by Cookshack? If so, call customer service Monday morning.
Rather than pursue repairs of an "old, old" smoker, you should consider a brand new one. Cookshack makes one suitable for every need and budget. Folks here will be happy to steer you in the right direction.
Why would I be kidding? Yes it is a Cookshack smoker. It is quite old. I've emailed the company. But then I emailed before but got no response. Might have to try calling. The heating element they show at the opening of that section of their website looks just like mine. But when I click to the available that one (the one like mine) is not there.
If you don't get a reply from CS you might try taking the heating element out and take it to a local appliance repair shop. These elements are often pretty typical and used by many different manufacturers. A local shop may be able to cross reference for a replacement part.
Wow, if Smokin Okie doesn't know what it is, it must be pretty old. Sorry, can't help you on a source except to say call CS on Monday. But, would LOVE to see a pic of it.
Wow AndyJ. Yep that's my smoker. But mine is in a lot better physical shape. I will wait to see if CS can provide me with a heating element. Then I'll look for a replacement like TN Q suggested. Thanks all.
Thanks everybody. Called Cookshack today. Mine is one of the earlier models of the smoker. My model was replaced by the 100 to 105 series. They still have the element for my smoker, upgraded from the original 1200 watt to a 1500 watt element. At only $78 I'll be ordering one soon.
