Well, after spending a couple of weeks reading this forum and drooling all over myself, decided to take the plunge. Ordered my Model 55 today. And, unlike some recent posters who were not impressed with the friendliness of their order-taker, my ordering experience was quite pleasant. My call was initially directed to Karen (I guess she takes care of fulfilling the "special pricing" orders), however, she was not at her desk. So, instead of "can you call back later?", Mary was kind enough to take the order and forward it to Karen's attention. I guess only time will tell if the order made it to Karen's desk but I'm sure it will.
Didn't think to ask about an estimated ship / delivery date. Hopefully I be eating Q by next weekend.
Thanks to those who responded to my previous post and to the many experts here who are so generous with sharing their advice with newcomers like myself. I'll be taking some notes over the next week so I can hit the ground running. I'll be sure to file a report on my first smoke.
