modifications to the wheels

I am looking for ways to move my fec around at comps, it still has the origional wheels on it. I was thinking about cutting the legs down, to keep the same height it is now, and adding fixed pnumatic tires on one side and pnumatic casters on the other. I would love to hear or better yet see what any of you folks have done. Thanks for any help, Tim
