need help

I am using my SM025 for the first time to smoke ribs. I already seasoned it. Today 1st time I go to use it the temperature keeps rising even though I set it at 225. I tried shutting it off and turning back on but no luck. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the CS forum and congrats on the new smoker.

The smokette 025 has a feature that will make it run wide open for the 1st 20 minutes, to get the wood started smoking.

When you turn it off and back on, it just starts that warmup period once again, oh well!
