Any thoughts about how to mount the FEC on my trailer. What kind of bracing? ect.....? Currently it is open. See the link for a picture of the trailer.

Will putting a pipe on the FEC and running it through the roof affect the way the fec runs? I think it will add to the look of the trailer if the smoke is coming out the roof. Thanks for the input.

Papa.

My husband looked at your set up and said to tell you that you need to weld some two inch square tube stock back there. Then connect the FEC up with the 2 inch U bolts. That is how ours is mounted. You need something SOLID to mount them to.

Ours is vented through the roof with a pipe, as you are talking about. It doesn't cause any problems for us. It doesn't work to try and run it while you are moving. We put a baffle in to cover the hole when we travel. It keeps the warmth in (not running the FEC though). If you try to run it with a baffle in it would be a disaster! IF you shut it off and there are still pellets in the pot, when you drive they will burn up quickly and the FEC will cool quickly. If there happens to be food in there it will cool off too.

Just what we find to be true.

Hope this helps!

Kate
