Well, my first reaction was that it was poor form to put the link onto the CS list... being a sales effort and all. Spam? But no one else seemed to mind so I let it pass. No, I didn't sign up for the email list.
Explain what you mean by poor form and onto the CS list? We were given thier permision to use thier link and is there a problem with achieving or even teaming up with a company that you like to have your name mixed with. The possiblity of new customers to anyone in the BBQ world should be welcomed in todays struggle.
David I think your site is perfect. Very direct and easy to navigate. I see no problems at all with your links, they are even on a seperate page from the homepage labeled LINKS, so if don't care for links to other bbq related sites, I suggest you don't click the LINKS link.. It's BETTER form than all the flashing banners and links on most bbq sites.
I personally will click on just about anything that has to do with bbq and enjoy links.
Maybe I am misinterpreting Qnorth's response but I think he was referring to Butcher putting a link in his original CS message to his website since one of the purposes of their website is to sell their rub. I could be wrong but Qnorth may have thought it inappropriate to push the product here on the CS forum. But that decision is up to the moderator, Smokin Okie, of this forum.
