New KCBS Rules

I was looking at the notes from the last KCBS board meeting and reference is made to rule changes regarding pellet cookers. Has anyone heard anything about this? This is what it said:

"Linda Mullane advised that she has received 8 emails with 3 concerns regarding rules changes. The issues presented concern: the pork rule, the garnish rule and pellet cookers. The deadline is Jan 8 for all requests for consideration. Requests should be sent to rules@kcbs.us"

It comes up every year. Nothing will come of it. Too many Pellet cookers out there for them to ban them.

It's usually a comment every year, but 8 emails isn't many.

Thanks for the heads up we'll keep an eye out.

What about the events scheduled for 2010 that are only doing Ribs and Chicken in KCBS Pro catagory. How is the TOY points going to deal with that? The one I found on the web site also is doing a Backyard event. There may be a confusion at there front office or who ever does there web site.

I would initially say that that is a misprint. Pro division requires all four categories to be cooked.
