New Owner 055

My 55 sits on my deck. The cover protects it just fine, right now its raining on it, but the water just runs off. Haven't had any problems yet and don't anticipate any, some of the folks here have had theirs out in the weather for years with no problemo.

input smoker covers,all forums ,you should get varied answers for all situations.

Covers are dandy.

I keep my 055 inside when not using it. I can't afford to support the drug users with something to pawn.

I use mine under a porch where it is out of the rain & snow.

Yup, will be fine outside, cover is the best way. Just keep the electronics dry and water/snow/moisture from getting inside too much

I've had my cooker about 3 years or so. It sits on the deck with a cookshack cover on it when not in use, and its fine.
As I look outside I see about 2 feet of snow that I've shoveled off the deck and the cookshack cooker will be there for anythibg I want to smoke........ Assuming I can get to it :-0

See even I learn a lot. Spent 20 years traveling the world, actually BEEN to timbuktu (in Mali)

Wish I could trade BBQ for Seafood. We're just a LITTLE far from the ocean here in Oklahoma.

I have had a 55 for years and it has always been outside. My problem with the cover is the racoons have chewed through two. Even though I clean my shack it must smell so good that the racoons want in!!
