New smoker

Hello, I am totally new to smoking. I have been eyeballing a cookshack smoker for about 3+ years and didn't want to get something else. Well, I finally got my SM045 today. I seasoned it with pecan wood and now I just need to start smoking and creeping up the learning curve. I hope to get a lot of good info here.

Congrats.

You are going to love the size of the 045. I have the 040 model and totally enjoy the food it puts out and ease of use. Nothing like sleeping though the night without worrying about temps or fire going out. Jer
