I have been lurking for many years on this forum. I have used a traditional stick burner for last 5 years. Just retired from the Navy and did not have room for my smoker pit on a trailer where I now live. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a FEC100. I have read so much on this great forum about the quality of the FECs, but really like the size and portability of the FEC100. Looking forward to the dialogue.........

I to want to thank you from my heart for your service to our country and for being a part of defending out freedom!! My dad was in the Navy in WW2 and my son was a Seabee in Iraq. I have had an FEC100 for a year now with many many hours of cook time on it and have to say it is by far the best smoker I have ever cooked on! Cookshack has incredible equipment and customer service second to none!! You will never regret getting it.
I just got a FEPG1000 as a Christmas gift from my wife that was delivered yesterday and can't wait to get it going. Keep us updated. I have learned so very much from this forum and the many great cooks who are on it.
Well, got my email notice today that my FEC100 has shipped. Already clearing an area in the garage. I can't wait to put this smoker to work. I spent too many years reading about this smoker on this forum and saving my pennies that it is a great feeling to know that I will be now be able to share my experiences with the rest of you guys................and enjoy some awesome Q..
Absolutely amazing. Made two racks of ribs yesterday that had me going through a very different routine (just me being paranoid). Kept go to the smoker every hour only to find that the temp was always on the money. Ribs came out awesome. After using a traditional stick burner for so many years, would never go back. Those sitting on the fence of whether to get one of these great machines.........do it!!!!!!Getting ready to take a BB off that went on this morning. Already love this smoker........couldn't be happier........
The BB was also awesome. I did a 4 hour 180, then bumped up to 250 for 5 hours, then finished with 300 for 2 hours. Used the meat probe set to 200 during the final stage. The pork was very tender and moist and literally falling apart. I used all the complimentary products that came with the FEC100..........had to call them twice for several questions and Bill called me back quickly........what more can anyone ask for when it comes to a Q machine. I will be taking the KCBS judges course next week as part of the Lakeland Pig Fest.......I got to start getting smart on what folks consider good Q. What I had today left me speechless........can't imagine anything better......:-).....
Lakeland will be the opening for 2013 Team of the Year points. It will have triple points and all the snowed in teams from the Canada border to west TX will be there. It will look like and FEC trade show.

Fast Eddy will be there and my Teammate, Ribdog, will have one of his FEC 100s for them to cook on. .Stop by and meet a few folks.
We aren't entered this year, but Lakeland has always been kind to us for calls.Be there Friday night for the team/judges' dinner and party.

Always one of the best on the circuit.

Last few Team of Year teams should be on hand.
