Old Faithful has been my controller for over a year. I command a temperture and he has faithfully deleivered. No opening doors to control temp, Old faithful did his job. Many of his brothers failed me in the past, but Old Faithful has been my faithful firewatch. Now when asked to give me smoke I get 250 degress. when I ask for 180, I get 250 degress. If this is the end for the Old boy, I find solice that it produced one hell of a brisket in its last effort.I know that electronic/mechanical components fial, but it is hard to say goodbye to this trusted friend.

Had major smoke temp problems. Finally found another extra controller the guys from Ortech furnished me with last year. We replaced it at the Albany cookoff and everything ran perfect. Normal smoke temps, the 225 setting works perfect, this old guy is just like new! Now if Ryan can get the rib method perfected we might start making some money.
The middle horizontal bar of the middle number in the LED on mine has started to fade. Still holds temps fine and never bothered me until Cabela's. I had it set on 180. About 3 hours later, Suzie tells me the cooker is running at 100. Had a moment of panic there until I realized it was 180 minus the middle bar of the "8."
