I am upgrading from my 10 year old SM055 to a shiny new FEC120 I know its overkill size wise for the amount meat I smoke per use but I am sure my friends and co-workers will be very happy about it.
I upgraded to 5 SS shelves and also got a cover and the meat probe plus 4 extra bags of pellets. I am planning on getting a couple stainless rib racks too.

There are a few posts about the 100 exhaust but don't think I would go there on the 120

Are you worried about the airflow?

It's a totally different design so cook on it a few times

It's so new still a lot of learning curve for all of us Cool

I didn't realize it had a different setup for the exhaust at first, glad I don't have to mess with it.
For the fire pot, I use a Home Depot Bucket Head Vac my brother gave me for a gift last year. It doesn't come with a bottom container, you use a 5 gal dry wall mud type bucket as the bottom.

I like being able to reverse the hose and blow out any residual ash.

So if I get another one, I can have a bucket for different types of pellets. Just thought of that as I was typing. Could even use the 2.5 gal plastic half buckets.
