Padrefan knows about my Chicago trip via a PM. I've been lurking, but I just haven't been in the mood to post.

The first 4 days of my trip to Chicago was a blast...Wrigley field, parties, Harry Carey's restaurant, tour of downtown. Then the fun stopped when my twin brother, John, had a brain aneurism and passed away. We're all in shock and working our way through it. Just glad my son and daughter in law wanted to get back to meet family allowing me some time with my brother.

You'll never know the relief I got reading all your daily posts. Took my mind off things. I had fully intended to contact a couple of the Chicago forum members to see if I could buy beef sandwiches at Johnies, but not in the cards this time.

Thanks for the inquiries folks.

We are praying for you.
My dear Pags, I am deeply sorry for your profound loss. I am good friends with a pair of twins and a set of triplets. Knowing how close they are, I can't begin to imagine the depths of your loss.

I know that cooking is a big enjoyment in your life. When you are ready to return to the forum, please know that you will be welcomed with open arms. You are so very well thought of here and missed.

I'm sure you will be in the thoughts and prayers of everyone on this forum.
