Something similar happened on my last cook, but not at the beginning of the cook. I started my cook in the evening. The burner lit up fine and the FE got up to temp. I left it set to 180 and went to bed. When I got up in the morning, The cooker was 45 degrees and there was a large pile of pellets on the bottom. Judging by the amount that the meat had cooked and the size of the pile, the burner had ran most of the night before going out. The internal temp of the meat was 105 even though the chamber was at 45 degrees. I estimate that the meat had gotten to 150 - 160 by its degree of doneness. I don't know why the burner went out. This happened once with my small Traeger but I had left it with a lot of ash in the firepot. That was not the case this time. If the power had gone out briefly, that would explain it, but my clocks did not need to be reset, so that did not happen. Can anyone think of a reason that the burner would go out after burning for 10 - 12 hrs? The only possible thing that I can think of is that wind blew into the exhaust and disrupted the burner somehow.
