Hey guys. I just purchased an FEC-100. It should be here in about 3 weeks. I am wondering what you guys are seeing for pellet usage per hr? I did a search with not much for findings with all the 100-750's mixed in here.
My FEC-100 will be sitting in a garage for most of the time as it is a heated mechanics garage. Summer when it is nice out, I will roll it out, but other than that, it should stay at about 65F or 17C where it sits now.
I have been told that it uses 1/4lb per hour by the seller of the unit, @225F.. I like to cook with my offset a bit hotter, 250-275F for butts and brisket, while chicken is 350F along with tri-tip, roast, etc.
Just trying to get a gauge on how many lbs of pellets I should initially get. I am recieving 60lbs with my unit, which gives me some leeway here.
Any help, much appreciated!
